Terminal chassis (also known as skeletal terminal trailers or intra-port transfer vehicles) are specifically engineered for short-haul shuttle operations within ports, container yards, and marine terminals. Designed to transport standard 20ft, 40ft, and 45ft containers, these vehicles are characterized by their heavy-duty load capacity, durability, low-speed operation, and superior maneuverability.

This type of vehicle is tailored to the complex and demanding transfer environments found within port facilities. While they may superficially resemble standard road-going skeletal container trailers, their chassis feature numerous specialized structural protrusions. These distinct features primarily consist of manually operated anti-slip locking arms and container positioning markers.

The anti-slip locking arms serve to securely anchor the container, effectively preventing displacement caused by vibration or shifting during transit without causing any damage to the container body.

The positioning markers, meanwhile, facilitate synchronized operations when multiple vehicles are coupled together in a convoy, thereby significantly enhancing overall transfer efficiency.
